Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath passed away after falling ill during a musical performance of Ultadanga Gurudas Mahavidyalaya at Nazrul Manch stage. Sources said that he fell ill during the performance on stage. KK was repeatedly saying on the stage that he was not feeling well. He was asking to turn off the spotlight. KK finished the live concert at 8:30 pm and returned to the hotel. From there he was taken to CMRI Hospital in Alipore. According to hospital sources, when he was brought, there was news of his condition deteriorating. He was later examined and told that he was dead. Senior doctors of the hospital are now reaching the hospital. Administrative officers and senior police officers are also present. He was 54 years old at the time of his death.
On hearing the news, Minister Arup Vishwas reached the hospital. He said, “I was coming home from office. I got a call midway. I heard that he was brought here dead. I am talking to his family, who were coming from Mumbai.”
