Mahira Khan to return to Indian screen with show Sadke Tumhare: Zindagi Par television news

New Delhi: Pakistani star Mahira Khan, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees’, is all set to once again connect with the Indian audience through her show ‘Sadke Tumhare’. The 1980 set drama series, which originally premiered in 2014, will air Thursday in India on Zindagi.

Excited to return to the TV screen, Mahira said, “Sadke Tumhare is a heartfelt, simple love story. Shaano is one of my favorite characters. She was otherworldly, romantic and just pure love. It was a nostalgia to watch the show. The moment, which is very close to my heart, is back to television where it all began. I am excited to have this opportunity to once again connect with the Indian audience through Zindagi.”

‘Sadke Tumhare’ is written by Khaleel-ur-Rehman Qamar and directed by Mohammad Ehteshamuddin. It is a love story set in the 1980s. The project is based on the life experiences of the writer, telling the story of Khaleel (Adnan Malik) and Shano (Mahira), who are engaged long ago in their lives but lose touch for 10 years.

A village girl, Shano longs to meet her fiancé Khaleel who has settled in the big city. Initially, Khaleel is hesitant about his feelings for Shano, now seeing that he has better prospects in the city but he eventually falls in love with her. Mahira is also known for her TV show ‘Humsafar’, which also stars Fawad Khan.
