It’s a humectant, which means it draws water into the top layer of your skin, making it look plump and supple. Does this mean that we won’t need to use any extra sticky moisturizers or thick sunscreens to keep our skin hydrated? Sadly, no. As we get older, the production of hyaluronic acid in our body decreases. As a result, it is important to apply it topically as well. More moisture means fewer wrinkles and fine lines and a smoother complexion. The magical ingredients attract moisture from the environment and your skin care products and lock it into your skin. It also improves the production of new skin cells and reduces pigmentation.
3. The best moisturizers are essential for hydration – In the summer, the thought of applying cream, moisturizer, or even sunscreen makes me feel uncomfortable. We don’t want our skin to be sticky in the summer, but we don’t want it to get dehydrated. As a result, it’s important to try and find a lightweight moisturizer that works for you. For summer, look for hydrating, lightweight moisturizers that are long-lasting and aren’t heavy on the skin. And, because it’s a very lightweight moisturizer that stays on the skin, hyaluronic acid is an ingredient that should be in your moisturizer this season.
Pooja Nagdev advises, “Look at the non-comedogenic ingredients or label on your moisturizer, especially in this season, to make sure it’s not acne-causing. 3. Use Sunscreen – Use sunscreen before leaving the house to protect your skin from harmful UV rays and keep it from drying out. If you have dry skin, choose a moisturizing sunscreen. Always buy sunscreen that is suitable for your skin type.
4. Leave the Foundation – On hot days, it’s important to keep your makeup light so that it doesn’t melt and clog your pores. Skip foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer with SPF for a beautiful and moisturizing glow.
5. Opt for fragrance free products – Strongly scented skin care products often contain alcohol and chemicals that are harsh on dry skin. As a result, it’s important to keep them at bay by only using items labeled “fragrance-free.”
6. Drink more water – Staying hydrated in summers is the best way to prevent your skin from getting dry. Water hydrates the skin from the inside out, preventing it from becoming dry. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day to ensure that your skin gets the required hydration.
